Product Background
Nano-silica is an inorganic chemical material with a particle size of 1–100 nm. Its scientific name is precipitated hydrated silica, commonly known as white carbon black. It is non-toxic and odorless and has good chemical stability, and it is widely used in coatings, rubber, plastics, electronics, and many other fields. There are two mainstream production processes for white carbon black (silica): the precipitated silica process and the fumed silica process. Precipitated silica accounts for the majority of domestic production capacity. Agitators play a vital role in this field, as their mixing performance directly affects the dispersion uniformity of the silica slurry and the final product quality.
Process Challenges and Solutions

Silica mixing involves a typical non-Newtonian ultrafine-powder system, meaning agitator design must be fully customized based on the actual material.
For the various process units in precipitated silica production, MIXEL has served as the designated supplier of agitation equipment for leading process licensors including Rhodia, Bluestar, Elkem, Solvay, and BASF. Since 1990, the company has built up deep expertise in silicon chemistry and silicon chemical processing equipment, and has completed multiple rounds of product trials and iterative upgrades in partnership with process developers.
Its new-generation agitation equipment effectively resolves core pain points such as floating materials, particle agglomeration, fouling, abrasive wear, and fluctuations in product specifications. It enables users to run production at full capacity with uninterrupted operation and minimal maintenance. Its exceptional reliability prevents losses caused by insufficient output or unplanned shutdowns.
